Eel - Tiger Moray

The freshwater Tiger Moray Eel (Gymnothorax polyuranodon) is one of the most striking and unusual freshwater fish in the hobby - a true moray eel that spends its entire life in fresh and brackish rivers across Southeast Asia and the Pacific. A bold tan-to-brown body with dark tiger-stripe patterning and the characteristic moray breathing motion make it an endlessly fascinating display animal. Grows to 24-36 inches. Strictly predatory; will consume any fish it can fit in its mouth. Best kept in a species tank or with very large tankmates. Requires meaty foods, excellent filtration, and a tightly secured lid.
