Tetra - Black Phantom

The Black Phantom Tetra (Hyphessobrycon megalopterus) is a standout small tetra from Bolivia and Brazil, with a black body patch set against silvery-gray sides and flowing, semi-transparent black fins with white edging in males. Males display an impressive, tall dorsal fin that gives them a striking silhouette. Best kept in groups of 8+ in planted aquariums with soft, slightly acidic water. At LG size these are large, fully colored adults. Peaceful with all small community fish. Water temp 72-82F, pH 6.0-7.5.
