Catfish - Marble Tandanus Eel Tail Catfish
The Marble Eel Tail Catfish (Tandanus tandanus) is a fascinating Australian native with an eel-like body, broad head, and beautiful marbled patterning. A hardy bottom dweller that grows to around 24 inches, it adapts well to a wide range of water conditions and makes a striking display fish in a large species-appropriate aquarium. Prefers sandy or soft substrate, slow to moderate water flow, and a diet of worms, shrimp, and meaty sinking foods. Keep with fish too large to be eaten. An uncommon species rarely seen in the hobby.
