The L081 Gold Nugget Pleco (Baryancistrus xanthellus) is one of the most iconic and coveted plecos in the freshwater hobby. Its jet-black body covered in bright golden-yellow polka dots, capped with vivid yellow fin edges, creates a breathtaking contrast. A wild-caught species from the Rio Xingu in Brazil. Grows to 8-10 inches and requires clean, well-oxygenated water with moderate to strong flow to replicate its river habitat. Provide driftwood, smooth rocks, and caves. Feed sinking wafers, fresh vegetables, and occasional meaty foods. Sensitive to poor water quality - experienced keepers recommended.
