The Gold Giant Gourami (Osphronemus goramy var.) is a color variant of the largest gourami species in the world - a fish that grows to 24-28 inches and can live for decades. This golden form trades the standard grey-brown coloring for a warm yellow-gold body that becomes more vivid with age. At 4 inches these are still young fish that will grow into truly impressive display animals requiring 200+ gallon aquariums long-term. A gentle, intelligent fish that becomes quite tame and personable. Omnivorous with a strong preference for plant material.
