Paraneetroplus nebuliferum is a spectacular and seldom-seen Central American cichlid from the Grijalva-Usumacinta river system in Mexico. Adults display a stunning pattern of cloudy, nebulous markings over a rich background coloration - nebuliferum translates to cloud-bearing, a fitting name. Grows to 12-14 inches. A robust, moderately aggressive herbivorous-omnivorous cichlid best maintained in 100+ gallon aquariums with other large Central American species. An exceptional find for serious cichlid collectors; rarely available in the U.S. hobby. Diet of quality pellets, blanched greens, and frozen foods.
