Cichlid - Dovii (Wolf Cichlid)
The Dovii, or Wolf Cichlid (Parachromis dovii), is one of Central America's largest and most powerful cichlids - a genuine apex predator that grows to 24-28 inches in captivity. At 2 inches these are young fish that will grow into breathtaking display specimens: males develop brilliant blue-silver iridescence with black patterning; females glow vivid gold-yellow. Highly aggressive and predatory; adults must be kept alone or with only the most robust, equally sized fish. Plan for a 200+ gallon aquarium long-term. Intensely rewarding for experienced large-cichlid keepers.
