Cichlid - Albino Heckelli Threadfin Acara
The Albino Heckelli Threadfin Acara (Acarichthys heckelii) is a beautiful and unusual South American cichlid prized for its long, flowing threadfin extensions on the dorsal, anal, and pelvic fins. The albino form adds soft pink and white coloring to an already elegant fish. Grows to around 6-7 inches. A relatively peaceful cichlid suitable for larger community setups with similarly sized fish. Prefers sandy substrate, open swimming space with some rockwork or driftwood, and a varied diet of quality pellets, frozen bloodworms, and brine shrimp. Water temp 76-82F, pH 6.0-7.5.
